Morehead is a consultant with
Healthcare
Performance Improvement. Prior to joining HPI, he served as
Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President for Medical
Affairs at OhioHealth, a seven-hospital not-for-profit corporation
located in central Ohio. Dr. Morehead spearheaded the system’s
quality improvement initiatives, lead system strategic planning
efforts to improve healthcare delivery, facilitated collaborative
quality improvement efforts among member hospitals, guided and
monitored activities of member hospital quality leaders, and
improved patient safety through the development and implementation
of a patient safety plan and infrastructure. Before his position
with OhioHealth, Dr. Morehead served as President and Chief
Executive Officer of Scott & White Health Plan, a federally
qualified, not-for-profit, NCQA-accredited 160,000+ member plan
serving non-urban central Texas.
