Judy Ewald is a consultant with HPI. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare operations and leadership. Judy served as the Assistant Vice-President for Quality, Safety, and Performance Improvement for the Inova Health System where she was responsible for performance improvement, safety, outcomes, and accreditation services for the system’s hospitals, emergency access centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, ambulatory sites, and home health services. Working with the board, senior leadership, and the medical staff, she facilitated the implementation of a comprehensive program for patient safety. Judy attended the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Patient Safety Officer Executive Development Program and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. She holds a Master’s degree in public administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
