and a founding partner of Healthcare Performance Improvement. He is an experienced
performance consultant, bringing more than 20 years of consulting experience
in nuclear power, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and government
facilities. He has led the investigation of hundreds of unwanted safety
and production events resulting from equipment failures, human errors, process
failures, organizational breakdowns, and management failures. He also specializes
in designing and implementing human error prevention programs for large
organizations, resulting in dramatically reduced event rates. As an educator,
speaker, and author, Mr. Johnson has delivered hundreds of seminars, training
programs and lectures on human error prevention, root cause investigation
and performance improvement methodologies to thousands of workers, senior
management and regulatory personnel in the United States and abroad. His
clients include dozens of major corporations and government agencies in
the United States and abroad. Mr. Johnson holds a master’s degree
in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s
of science degree in applied physics.
